Portland Real Estate, a real estate guide, polled 3,012 real estate agents to find the places across the United States that “feel truly magical when spring rolls in.”
Out of the areas highlighted, three Delaware towns made the cut.
Trolley Square in Wilmington ranked No. 74, highlighted for bringing hints of color to the area with hellebores and golden daffodils and “genuine local character.” As temperatures warm up, Trolley-squares red-brick row houses and tree-lined streets welcome outdoor dining at the neighborhood’s restaurants. The walkability makes it a great option for enjoying all spring has to offer.
Flowers frame boats flowing along the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal on Sept. 2, 2023, during the unofficial end to summer, Labor Day Weekend.
At No. 86 is Lewes Historic District in Lewes, said to be “a Delaware you might not have expected” as flowering vines and early garden blooms add seasonal charm to the area. Spring in Lewes offers the coastal vibes Delawareans know and love without the hustle and bustle found during tourist season. Visitors can enjoy small museums, independent shops and colonial homes.
The last Delaware spot featured is Greenville in Wilmington, at No. 103. Portland Real Estate said Greenville has “some of the most beautiful residential landscapes” in the Small Wonder, and “one of the loveliest corners of the Brandywine Valley.”
